3. Authentication via third-party services
Users may choose to register or sign in using a third-party authentication provider such as Google.
When using this option, certain information (such as your name and email address) may be shared by the provider to create or connect your itsmyList account.
itsmyList never has access to your third-party account password.

Personal data is used only to:
- provide and operate the service
- create, manage and share gift lists
- manage gift reservations and user interactions
- allow gift list owners to optionally provide a delivery address so that people with access to their list can send gifts directly to that address
- send essential service emails (account confirmation, notifications and confirmations)
- improve the user experience
- protect the service against fraud, abuse and unauthorized access
- produce anonymous, privacy-friendly website statistics using a cookieless analytics solution
5. Data sharing
itsmyList never sells your personal data.
Information may only be shared when necessary:
- with the creator of a gift list when you reserve a gift (according to your privacy preferences)
- with people who have access to a gift list, when the list owner voluntarily chooses to provide a delivery address for sending gifts directly to that address
- with trusted service providers required to operate the service (hosting, email delivery, security and authentication providers)
Providing a delivery address is entirely optional. Gift list owners are responsible for ensuring that they have the right to share the address they provide. If an address is added, it may be visible to people who have access to the corresponding gift list.

itsmyList may send service-related emails, including:
- account confirmation
- password reset
- gift reservation confirmations
- notifications related to your gift lists
- messages sent through the service
These emails are necessary for the proper operation of the service and are not marketing communications.
7. Cookies
itsmyList uses only cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation and security of the service.
These cookies may be used to:
- maintain user sessions
- remember language preferences
- protect the website against spam, abuse and automated requests (Cloudflare Turnstile)
- enable authentication, including optional sign-in with Google
itsmyList does not use advertising cookies or analytics cookies requiring user consent. Website statistics are collected using a privacy-friendly cookieless analytics solution.
8. Data retention
Personal data is retained only for as long as your account remains active or as required to provide the service.
Deleting your account permanently removes your account, gift lists, reservations and associated personal data, including any delivery addresses you have provided, unless retention is required by applicable law.

itsmyList implements reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or disclosure.
Security measures include authentication controls and protection against automated abuse through Cloudflare Turnstile.
